Do You Mind The Business? Mind The Mind
Your company culture and the well-being of your employees have a significant impact on their engagement and innovative power, and thus directly affect the future success of your organisation.
Do you see a need for action in your company? But do you lack the necessary knowledge? Or is the path of successful implementation unclear? Together we can make it happen. I am happy to support you in the selective transfer of the necessary knowledge and/or the consulting over a longer period of time.
Since I’m convinced that every form of change begins within oneself, my offerings build on personality and team development, whereby I combine the theoretical knowledge of neuroscience with practice and reflection.
Areas of competence
In addition to the core areas of personality, leadership and cultural development, which form the foundation of every successful organisation, we also specialise in other related topics. Click below to learn more.
Of all organisational and leadership aspects, the greatest potential for future business success lies in development of a culture of innovation (57%), according to the latest report by the Swiss Economic Forum (2020).
These findings are in line with many EU studies. But how can you become more innovative and creative?
Creativity is a constant challenge. There is no ready-made way to find your next creative inspiration. This is because there are countless ways in which a new idea can emerge, and AHA- moments often occur in unexpected situations of relaxation. This process can be well explained today by neuroscience.
Basically, a creative process always involves both: failures and what ends up being a success. The real work is learning to love the process, to be flexible and not give up. Fear is the greatest enemy of innovation. Stress responses biologically inhibit any creative processing in the brain. Both a corporate culture characterised by inclusion and psychological safety as well as a curious mindset of employees are critical to creating a brain-friendly environment for true innovation.
From investment planning to the hiring process, from strategy alignment to child raising, our daily lives are filled with seemingly simple decisions. However, many subconscious and often irrational factors affect our decision-making abilities. Understanding and acknowledging the functioning of our ‘hunter-gatherer brain’ is a prerequisite to actively mitigate biases and irrationality. Successful decision-making strategies include, among others, well-defined dynamic processes, the use of collective intelligence, and the cultivating of a curious and open mind.
More and more employees suffer from stress-related symptoms. In the Stress Job Index 2020 the Swiss Institute for Health Promotion reports the following figures:
- Nearly 1 in 3 employees feel emotionally drained.
- The number of stressed employees has increased by 20% from 2014 – 2020.
- The stress-related loss of productivity costs the Swiss economy CHF 7.6 billions/year.
Moreover, the WHO has now officially classified burnout as an “occupational phenomenon” and sees it as one of the greatest health threats of the 21st century. To counteract this trend, do you want to support your employees in finding a healthy way to deal with difficult situations, time pressure and complexity? Or do you simply want to increase employee engagement? Many studies have shown that Mindfulness increases resilience and well-being.
